SEO for small businesses
SEO sounds technical, but for a smaller business it is mostly about being found by the customers who are already looking for what you sell. It is rarely one big move that makes the difference. It is a series of small things that need to be in order, and most sites are missing a few of them.
I have collected my SEO articles here in the order I would read them myself. If you serve customers in a specific area, start with local SEO, your Google Business Profile and reviews. Then come keywords and Search Console, which show you what people actually search for and how your site is doing. The technical part and the WordPress articles are for when you want to be sure Google can read your site properly.
If you want to know how your website gets found when people ask ChatGPT instead of Google, those articles are in the guide on AI for small businesses. And if you would rather have help than do it yourself, my services are listed below the articles.
