Solpaneler.eu – from Wix to their own platform
Solpaneler.eu is a solar energy company based in Faaborg, Denmark, advising locally on Funen and delivering solar panels, batteries, and inverters nationwide. They had outgrown their Wix solution and needed a website the team could manage themselves – without compromising on design, speed, or Google rankings.
The solution
- 35 custom blocks: The entire site is built from reusable Gutenberg blocks – product cards with datasheets, a price calculator, package deals, project galleries, campaign boxes, and more. The team edits everything without code, including per-device visibility for mobile, tablet, and desktop.
- Price calculator with real prices: Visitors drag a slider with their annual power consumption and instantly see the matching package and price.
- Built-in lead management: Enquiries land in a control panel with status tracking, and the team receives designed emails with one-tap call and reply buttons. Every Monday, a status email summarises the week's visitors and leads.
- Flawless migration: All 83 legacy Wix URLs redirect correctly, so no Google rankings were lost. Microsoft 365 email was carried through the DNS switch without a minute of downtime.
- Top-tier performance: Near-perfect mobile Lighthouse scores with server-side caching, WebP images, and a hand-built theme free of heavy page builders.
The result
The client went from a locked-in Wix subscription to a platform they fully own – with consent-friendly analytics, automated backups, uptime monitoring, and an editing experience where even campaigns and projects are maintained by the team itself.
