Frequently asked questions
How long does a migration take?
A standard WordPress move typically takes 1–2 days. Larger sites with WooCommerce or a lot of content can take up to a week. The actual downtime is typically under 30 minutes.
Will I lose data during the move?
No. I take complete backups before the move and verify afterwards that everything came across. You can always roll back.
How much does a WordPress migration cost?
A standard migration typically costs 2,000–4,000 DKK. Complex migrations involving a platform change or large amounts of data cost from 5,000 DKK. I always give a fixed quote.
Can you recommend a new hosting provider?
Yes, I have had good experiences with Cloudways, Kinsta and Simply.com, among others, for Danish sites. I am happy to help you choose the right solution for your needs.
What about my email?
Moving email can be coordinated with the site move or handled separately. I make sure your email keeps working during and after the move.
Will I lose my Google rankings?
Not if the move is done correctly. I set up 301 redirects and make sure the URL structure is either kept or redirected. Google Search Console is updated too.
