Plantepakken – plants as gifts, also in bulk
Plantepakken sends Danish green plants as gifts, packed in their own box and delivered straight to the recipient. Individuals order a single plant for someone they care about. Companies use the shop for employee gifts, parental leave gifts and Christmas greetings – often to many recipients in one order.
I took over the technical development of the shop in 2026 and now handle both ongoing development and operations.
What I have worked on
- Corporate gifts to many recipients: When a company sends gifts to several employees in one order, the order is split into one sub-order per recipient. Each sub-order carries its own address, email and amount – all the way into the shipping system and the automated order export.
- Shipmondo integration: Shipping labels are created with the right recipient details, and customers get a tracking link and greeting in their emails.
- My Account for business customers: A better order overview with tracking and delivery status, the option to hide recipient data for GDPR reasons, and control over which products each customer sees.
- Operations: Regular WordPress and plugin updates, checkout fixes and quick help when the warehouse or customer service reports an issue.
My customisations live in a dedicated plugin, so they survive theme and WooCommerce updates.
