PLan Plex – a new website for a scout course
PLan Plex is a course team in the Danish Scout Association (Det Danske Spejderkorps). Every autumn, in week 42, the team runs a week-long PLan course for patrol leaders and assistant patrol leaders from all over Denmark. I am part of the team myself and have looked after the website for several years.
Redesign in 2026
On 30 September 2026 a completely new planplex.dk went live. The old site was built in Divi; the new one is built in Etch on WordPress. Its purpose is information and easy contact with the course leaders – registration itself happens in the association's member system.
- This year's course in one place: Dates, venue, price, registration and course leaders are managed from a single settings page and shown everywhere on the site automatically. That makes it easy for volunteer leaders to keep the site up to date.
- The team: An introduction to this year's course leaders and mentors.
- Previous years: A year-by-year archive since 2012 with venue, course type, theme, team photos and course binders as PDFs.
- Materials: Tools from the course that former participants can take home to their patrol.
- Photos: A gallery with more than 6,500 photos from the courses.
- Contact: Direct contact with the course leaders and links to the course on dds.dk.
